Two Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt

This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.
Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.
It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.
But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

This book made me remember why I love reading so much. It's so real! Of course it brings new meaning to awkward family reunions and the after math of having your boyfriend brake up with you. Bless Courtney's soul. But that girl has some hilarious humor, especially if you've been in the post-breakup phase and you think everything your Ex does makes him a butt! The story though is just so complicated for the characters. I'm sitting there reading it and thinking "OH SNAP!!". What I adored about this book was not only the humor and being able to relate to it, but I loved how it was written about a break-up but it was all about the relationship. Jordan and Courtney have one of those relationships you want in life. Nothing to do with vampires and ghosts and people in comas, but something you can actually imagine yourself having in real life. Long after you read this book, you can imagine Jordan and Courtney getting married, having a family, growing old. Its romantic in a subtle, real, story that is rich with the pleasure of just reading it.    Plot: 4.25/5 stars    Cover: 3.75/5 stars (There's a cute back cover too!)    -Katie
