Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick

SPOILERS FOR FIST BOOKS-THIS IS BOOK 4
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean they are fated to be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. Now Nora and Patch must gather their strength to face one last, perilous trial. Old enemies return, new enemies are made, and a friend's ultimate betrayal threatens the peace Patch and Nora so desperately want. The battle lines are drawn—but which sides are they on? And in the end, are there some obstacles even love can't conquer?

'Sup, readers? I have a lovely little treat for you here! Finale... DUH-DUH-DDDUUUHH!!! The 4th and final book of the the epic Hush, Hush series. It was long awaited, and golly was the wait worth it! This happens to be the best one of the whole series, and Mrs. Fitzpatrick did not disappoint!

So, a little lowdown. Nora has become the leader of the Nephilian army which had been her sworn enemies until she killed her father, became a Nephil, and inherited the army. Therefore, Nora (With the help of her yummy boyfriend/ fallen angel, Patch) has to find a way to prevent the war, live, and still be able to love Patch without restraints. This book frustrated me only with the point that you don't know, you don't even have the slightest idea, what will happen until 10 pages from the end, Its torturous and so delicious from a literary stance.

Palak and I have often discussed the love/hate relationship we have with Nora. We agree that her stubbornness gets old and frustrating when you only want to keep her from danger, but then again, what story would it be without the heroine being in danger? Patch, on the other hand, is just a beautiful specimen! His characteristics mix together to make nearly the perfect leading man of a story: courage, passion, dark past, undying love, looks, brain, mystery, strength with hidden weaknesses. Its fantastic and highly enjoyable. And I love that while Palak, our friend Alyssa, and I were at the YA'll fest (Young Adult Festival), we came across a new term- "Patch-a-holics." This being fans of Patch's or characters with his sort of demeanor.  That is how well loved and admired he is.

Again, this was a way too enjoyable book to read. There were so many twists that back up the rest of he series, that I just sat there awestruck in pure admiration of Mrs. Fitzpatrick's writing. The Climatic scene is SO intense, by the way. This was the book I happened to be reading when we went to the YA'll fest, and I was reading the climax that night. Palak, Alyssa, my mother, and I were all in this little hotel room reading when I started getting into the climax. Readers....I am a loud reader.....therefore, I started screaming, and whimpering, and going WHAT?! and UH NO HE DON'T!, etc. In the end, Palak and  Alyssa hadn't read it yet and started getting mad, so they threw their books at me. Moral of this story, this book is THAT good!

There isn't really any criticism that I can conjure because any complaints I might have had in the first three books were resolved. So, read the first three books first (of course), but don't even think about waiting to read the fourth. It won't disappoint!
<-- By the way, this is why I want to be an author... Lucky little Becca Fitzpatrick!
