If I Stay by Gayle Forman
In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeenyear- old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck...
If I Stay was a beautifully written book of love and especially loss. If you've ever been through the death of a family member or if you've had some tough choices you had to make, then this book will help you feel not so alone.
Mia is such a strong girl. I admire this girls character (see what I did there? :). Mia loses everything she once had and learns to accept that life goes on. That's the real lesson here, that no matter how bad life gets, life goes on and gets better. Mia also has Adam who is so imperfect for her but is really perfect for her (If that makes sense). It's refreshing to see an imperfect relationship work out, and it does because Adam would do anything for Mia.
I've never read a book that's been written like this story. This book focuses both on the past and the present. it's filled to the brim with flashbacks that really add to the story and situations. It's actually quite amazing!
If you really just have the urge to cry or read a book that makes you feel, please check this one out. No person should go without reading this story and feeling the sensation of an amazing book.
